About Littleton

Littleton is one of the Denver metro's most treasured communities — and Eric Fitch's home base for over two decades. Situated about 10 miles southwest of downtown Denver, Littleton is an incorporated city of approximately 47,000 that manages to retain the warmth and intimacy of a small town while offering the amenities, connectivity, and lifestyle quality of a first-class suburban community. It's consistently ranked among Colorado's safest and most livable cities, and it's easy to see why people who move here rarely want to leave.

The crown jewel of Littleton's identity is its historic downtown. Main Street Littleton runs for about a mile through the heart of old town, lined with beautifully preserved Victorian-era buildings that now house an eclectic mix of local restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, antique stores, galleries, and boutiques. Unlike many suburban "downtowns" that feel manufactured, Littleton's historic core has an authenticity built over more than a century of community life. On warm evenings, restaurant patios spill onto the sidewalks, and the energy is genuinely alive.

Littleton also benefits from one of the most impressive natural corridors in the entire metro area. The South Platte River runs along its eastern edge, and the Platte River Trail — a paved path stretching over 100 miles through the metro — provides direct bike-and-pedestrian access from Littleton all the way to downtown Denver and beyond. To the southwest, the Highline Canal Trail (over 70 miles long) and the edge of the foothills open up an entire world of hiking, cycling, and wildlife viewing. Cherry Creek State Park, with its reservoir, campground, equestrian trails, and off-leash dog areas, is just a few miles away and serves as a beloved outdoor hub for the entire community.

Littleton's Neighborhoods

Historic Downtown Littleton

The most walkable and character-rich area in Littleton. Homes here are often historic bungalows and Craftsman-style houses within walking distance of Main Street's shops and restaurants. Highly coveted by those who want a true neighborhood feel.

Columbine Valley

One of the most exclusive enclaves in all of Colorado — a private, incorporated town bordering Columbine Country Club. Heavily tree-lined streets, estate-style homes, and an extraordinary sense of privacy and prestige. One of Eric's specialty markets.

Ken Caryl Ranch

A beloved master-planned community in the foothills southwest of Littleton, offering exceptional schools, extensive open space, equestrian trails, a rec center, and a strong HOA. Very popular with families moving from out of state.

Chatfield Farms / Roxborough

For those wanting more space and a semi-rural feel, the southwestern neighborhoods near Chatfield State Park and Roxborough State Park offer larger lots, horse properties, and stunning red-rock views while staying in the Littleton school district.

Schools & Community

Education is one of Littleton's greatest strengths. The city is served by two outstanding school districts: Littleton Public Schools (LPS) and Jefferson County School District (Jeffco), depending on which neighborhood you live in. Both districts consistently rank among Colorado's best — with strong AP programs, dedicated teachers, and impressive graduation rates. Heritage High School, Chatfield Senior High, and Arapahoe High School are all highly regarded.

Beyond academics, Littleton has an exceptionally strong sense of community. The city's farmers markets, Art on Main Street festival, summer concerts, and neighborhood events create a social fabric that makes new residents feel genuinely welcome. Eric's clients who relocate to Littleton consistently report that they made lasting friendships faster here than anywhere they've previously lived — a testament to the community's openness and warmth.

A Note from Eric on Littleton

"Littleton is my home, and I'm proud to call it that. I've watched this community grow and evolve over 24+ years, and it just keeps getting better. The historic downtown has never been more vibrant, the schools are exceptional, and the outdoor access is world-class. When relocating clients ask me where I'd choose to live if I were moving to Colorado for the first time, Littleton is almost always at the top of my list. It has everything — and then some."
